I appeared on FOX 2 Detroit yesterday to show viewers how to make Pizza Bread with Sautéed Veggie Toppings. This is a versatile recipe that you can customize depending on the toppings you like. In this recipe, I add red and yellow bell peppers plus Shiitake mushrooms seasoned with red pepper flakes. I also prepare a pizza bread with eggplant, spinach, zucchini, and caramelized onions.
Rather than just popping raw vegetables on your pizza, I really recommend cooking your toppings FIRST to bring out the flavor. And you can use any kind of cheese you want to make it your own — Mozzarella, Parmesan, Asiago, Fontinella, Muenster, Gouda. . .you name it.
