A One Bite Flavor Explosion

In culinary circles they refer to them as an Amuse Bouche.  A one bite taste of deliciousness that amuses your mouth to start a meal.  Well this little baby not only amuses your mouth, but brings a wallop of flavor.  You start by slitting a Marjool date lengthwise to remove the seed inside.  Then you stuff that baby with Chevre ( goat cheese).  Gently squeeze the seam back together to enclose the cheese.   Then wrap it in bacon and drizzle it with maple syrup.  Pop it in the oven on 400 degrees until the bacon is crispy.  Take  half a cup of balsamic vinegar and mix in a tablespoon of sugar. Reduce that by half on the stove and then let cool.  Then serve your stuffed dates in the reduction and pop that nugget of goodness in your mouth.  Bon Appetit, Johnny
